Purpose
The purpose of Cambridge Community Fellowship Church is to honor God in living as the body of Christ in Cambridge, by loving God, His church, and our community.
Covenant
Based upon this purpose, we the members of CCFC, do covenant together by God's grace, to live our lives consistent with the standards of biblical teaching; including the support of this ministry in attendance, prayer, service, and giving, by living lives in word and deed that are an encouragement to others to know and be like Jesus, and by reflecting in all our relationships the servant-love of our Lord.
Requirements for Church Membership
- A declaration of faith in Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord, and evidence of a desire to live a consistent Christian life.
- An understanding of Christian doctrine and belief, through completion of the Christian Theology Sunday School Class.
- A statement indicating consent to the Statement of Faith and Covenant of this church, upon completion of the membership class.
- An agreement to abide by the Cambridge Community Fellowship Church policies on member discipline.
- Concurrent active membership in no other church.
- Baptism.
Member's Rights
- Only church members are eligible to vote at Congregational meetings.
- Only church members are eligible to be nominated for the position of officer, leaders, and committee members.
- Church members have the right to approve the budget presented at the Congregational meeting by the Board of Elders.
Member's Responsibilities
- Uphold and affirm the church covenant.
- Regular attendance at church meetings, including the Congregational meetings.
- Supporting the church financially.
